Charitable organization is a kind of institution or a business that falls under the category of NPO or non-profit organization. There are different kinds of activities of the charitable nonprofit organizations in India. Some of them are those who offer relief to the needy people who are in distressed, poverty or underprivileged. There are also some who are related to educational, scientific or religious affiliations. Some of the activities of charitable organization also include the creation of public building and monuments and take care of them. ATMA Foundation is a charitable nonprofit organizations in India committed to empowering individuals and families to lead happier lives with healthier relationships, and to bring positive change in the community.

For Children, Women & Senior Citizens

A campaign which focuses on the rights and empowerment of children, women and senior citizens, and seeks to stimulate creative discussions for holistic solutions. Includes awareness campaigns, outreach initiatives, and special programmes that can create an impact on the social psyche.

CARE for Children

A 2-day upavasam and ‘jagratha Sangamam’ was organised at Sree Vadakkumnatha Temple Ground in Thrissur in January 2013, to raise awareness about the issues faced by children. In the context of increasing child abuse in Kerala, the campaign gave a call to ensure safety for children at home and in the society.

EC Initiatives

To enable Empowement & Develop Compassion.

  • Talks, workshops & trainings – for children, adolescents, youth, women, senior citizens, teachers, parents, etc. Focus on empowering the individual, inspiring compassion for fellow beings, and enabling to act purposefully.
  • EC Labs – Training in Self empowerment and basic helping skills for adults. 15 full-day sessions spaced over 1 year, with 25-30 participants in a batch.

P2P: Problems to Possibilities

Adolescent empowerment campaign to address psycho-social negatives like substance abuse, suicides, crime, etc among teenagers, and resolve them through a training approach. Aims to inspire youngsters towards greater achievement in life, by focussing on their possibilities rather than problems. The project was launched by Sri P Prakash IPS, District Police Chief, on 12th July 2014, and the first campus seminar was inaugurated by Sri Suresh Rajpurohith, IG of Police on 2nd August 2014. Every year, ATMA organises seminars, camps and workshops for students teachers and parents, as part of the P2P campaign.

Volunteer Development

Initiatives to promote volunteerism in people of all age groups and backgrounds, and capacity building programmes to empower volunteers with the values, skills, attitudes and abilities for individual development and community service.
