We CARE for Woman Empowerment

An 8-Day Woman Empowerment Campaign was organised at Thrissur in 2016. The programme, exploring the various aspects of Woman Empowerment and the need for effectively addressing the threats to safety and development of women, reached out to the public through various channels and programmes.

Campaign highlights:

  • 51 hour upavasam by ATMA volunteers
  • 5-Day perspectives conclave on Woman Empowerment with talks by experts
  • Mass garba performance with 500 dancers
  • 2 – Day Seminar with dignitaries from different walks of life
  • Cultural programmes
  • Competitions for school & college students

Other Programmes

  • Awareness drive and outreach at North Bus Stand, Thrissur, on Women’s Day (in 2017 and 2018) – pamphlet distribution, street play, public meeting
  • Free health check up and medical camp for women at North Bus Stand, Thrissur, on Women’s Day 2018

Special Programme

Seminar on ‘Economic Participation of Women – New age opportunities and challenges’ on 9th March 2019 at Thrissur, with participation of over 200 women delegates. Sessions were guided by an eminent faculty panel.
