Atma Gurukulam
Atma Gurukulam is a Home for girls in need of care and protection – underprivileged girls who have no safe home, no supporting parents, who are from families in conflict, who have no means for education, etc. We focuses on the education and overall development of the girls. The vision is to enable them to transform into responsible and responsive citizens of the society, and leaders in their chosen fields.
ATMA Foundation has a team of committed volunteers who devote their time, resources and expertise to support the children of ATMA Gurukulam.
Atma Railway Child Help Desk
The Railway Child Help Desk (RCHD) is a joint initiative of Ministry of Women and Child Development and Ministry of Railways to ensure the care and protection, security and well-being of run-away, unaccompanied and trafficked children who come in contact with the railways. ATMA Foundation is the collaborative partner of Childline India Foundation for the implementation of Railway Child Help Desk Service in Thrissur District.
ATMA Foundation extends support to the various stakeholders in the Railway Station premises, and the inhabitants of the Railway Colony. This includes initiatives like distribution of free school kits to the children in the Railway colony, grocery kits to the daily wage workers, etc.
We adapt quickly and respond to changing needs faster than government organizations which require executive and electoral approval for action. ATMA has regular programmes in areas like child protection, education, empowerment, family welfare, art and culture, digital & financial empowerment and disaster relief & rehabilitation. We share ideas and resources across national boundaries which are essential to the functioning of a global community, also act as catalyst and create awareness among people overall India for achieving desired results of change in society.
