ATMA Foundation is embarking on yet another project – the ATMA Gokulam.
Taking care of a cow at home has always been considered sacred in Indian culture. We at ATMA decided to explore the possibility of having a cow at our ATMA Gurukulam Children’s Home. There are the obvious benefits of getting fresh milk, cowdung as manure for the vegetable garden, etc. But more than that, a cow and a calf will bring much joy and cheer to the children. It will also have a therapeutic effect on them.
A well-wisher has thoughtfully donated a pregnant heifer. One of our volunteers is currently taking care of her. She will be brought to ATMA after the children’s exams are over.
